In 1776 she was commissioned by Duke Charles, the King's brother, for a translation of Lucile, an opéra comique written by Jean-François Marmontel (with music by André Grétry). It was the the first of the genre translated into Swedish. In the introduction, she defended women's right to intellectual work. She was then given several similar translation commissions by the royal house.
