De Bons was a Huguenot living with Charles Montagu, Lord Manchester, at Leeds Priory near Chelmsford in 1717-1718. Haag (II, 397-8) lists this noble family from Bugey which settled in Geneva in the 16th Century. He mentions François-Louis de Bons who served in a French church in London in 1752 but there is no way of knowing whether it was the same person.
